An uplifting blend of guided and free expression dance with some relaxing moving meditation. No steps to learn. Something for both dancers and non-dancers alike, my Dance Meditation is so much more than dance, dance meditation or meditation; It is a powerful well-being process.

Karen Skehel leads “Dance of the Heart”. This has evolved from many years of teaching and leading Dance Meditation which included her teaching on BBC1’s Inside Out series where she showed 3.6 million viewers how Londoner’s can have fun without alcohol and on the BBC’s equivalent in South Korea as part of a documentary on dance to heal: the therapeutic value of dance.
Dance of the Heart includes hundreds of different exercises to do individually, (and live) in pairs and in groups. Since Covid she has recreating it as a Live Stream practice;

Since 2001, Karen has moved through various incarnations as a coach and well being facilitator, in order to meet the wide-ranging needs of her clients (including a number in event management/hospitality) .
Now focusing on “Helping Well-being heads optimise employee happiness and business performance with somatic mindfulness, dance meditation, group & 121 coaching (and Compassionate Leadership Coaching)
Her background spans advertising sales and marketing (including some event management); commercial radio and sales promotion; and counselling and group facilitation. Karen founded and ran her own successful marketing agency and led personal development workshops in relationships, coaching and in “emotional intelligence.
She has coached in front of 1.5 million people on the UK’s most popular day time programme, and appeared on ITV2. Over four years, Karen wrote for Natural Health Magazine as The Soul Doctor and The Life Coach contributing a page addressing readers’ life challenges every month.
