This session will highlight the role that languages play in our life and in our personality, it will introduce the topic of language anxiety and language isolation, highlight the results of the EF 2019 report on English language skills. Raffaella will talk about the effects of selecting conference speakers based on their language skills and the effect of having English only meetings on attendees and, attendees engagement – concluding with suggestions on how the MICE industry can solve the problem.
Raffaella became an interpreter because she loved the idea that she could help people communicate, break down boundaries and smooth rough edges. Her thirst for knowledge makes her curious about any subject and studying for any new assignment becomes fun.
