The Covid-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on our Nutrition and surprisingly, Sleep. If not watched carefully, these will significantly affect our future. During this session we will explore how to mitigate against these inherent risks by having a well-balanced diet and measures to have quality sleep thus strengthening our immune system.
We will explain the role of hydration, unprocessed foods, and being deliberate about your actions to improve our sleeping habits for good.
Finally, we will provide tips that can easily be applied to ensure you eat right and sleep well during the pandemic and beyond.
Hi, my name is Duntan West, Founder Refreshed Healthy Living.
20 years ago I listened in disbelief to the doctor’s diagnosis that I had Spinal Tuberculosis and Bronchitis. This was in addition to the fact that I was then living with Sickle Cell Anaemia.
It’s why the saying “HEALTH IS WEALTH” is one that I truly, deeply understand.
Fortunately for me, I had forward thinking medical support.
Medical support that emphasized diet change as a key component of my recovery.
I had nothing to lose but life itself and decided to focus on what I could change… My diet.
I was amazed how something as simple as CHANGING MY EATING habits could have such an immediate positive impact on my health.
And so started my personal journey to find out more about the IMPACT that food and our lifestyle choices have on our health, overall life and the world.
I started making smoothies and juices for myself, a few family members and friends.
In addition, I made fruit and vegetables an important part of my daily diet.
The feedback of improved wellbeing from those who followed my diet program was very encouraging.
That’s when I knew it was time to support my theories with a solid knowledge foundation.
I enrolled with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition the world’s largest nutrition school.
There, I learned cutting edge DIETARY theories as well as PRACTICAL LIFESTYLE OPTIONS that helped me live healthier and become the best version of myself.
I also knew that I could not keep such life-changing knowledge to myself.
This is why my partner and I started REFRESHED HEALTHY LIVING to share with YOU the BIG PICTURE of total wellness as well as support YOUR adventure to a healthy lifestyle.
Most other wellness programs focus on Diet and Fitness, rightly so.
At REFRESHED HEALTHY LIVING we offer more because our aim is to be YOUR pathway to;
● Mindfulness and,
● Increased productivity despite increasing challenges.
One thing I learnt and the reason why my recovery was so successful, was because I visualized what I wanted for my health and life. Rather than dwell on the realities of my situation, I focused on possibilities and potential.
