It’s hugely important that we all come together NOW to back the messaging of the #EventWell campaign, and the first step is by taking the Stress Matters pledge.
The Stress Matters Pledge guides employers on how they can take action to reduce the stress that they have knowingly or unknowingly put their team under. We understand the gravity of the challenge in transforming an industry with a culture of stress and we know that we need your support, individual by individual, employer by employer, to change the culture.
Changing stress from being inevitable, and therefore acceptable, to managed and minimised.
Are you an individual? – Start thinking about your self-care
Get active and make a personal pledge to start taking better care of YOU!
Sign up to do a challenge event, start a new exercise class, try mindfulness techniques, or simply commit to a 20 minute brisk walk on the way to the office each day.
Whatever best suits YOU, it’s time to think differently about your physical and mental health and wellbeing, and that of your colleagues, here are some ideas to get you started:
- Walk or cycle to work
- Give up alcohol or smoking
- Swap coffee for water
- Eat the minimum recommended 4-5 portions of fruit and veg a day
- Get the min 8 hours sleep a night
- Take a colleague for a drink and a chat
- Start an exercise class
- Complete a challenge event
- Quit sugary snacks and drinks
