Important update on the OpenDoor programme. During 2026, we will be focusing on securing essential grant funding and building the foundations needed to create a programme that is sustainable, properly resourced, and genuinely supportive for everyone involved with a view to opening the programme to applications in January 2027. OpenDoor has always been about doing things thoughtfully and responsibly – not rushing, not cutting corners, and not offering support that can’t be maintained. This additional time allows us to: secure the right funding and partnerships, design the programme around real needs and lived experience, and ensure long-term support, safeguarding and quality are fully in place. We truly believe that doing this carefully and properly is the only way to honour the purpose of OpenDoor and the people it exists to support. Thank you for your patience, belief, and continued support – we’re building something meaningful, and we’re committed to getting it right.

Opening doors to neuroinclusive careers in the events industry

About the Campaign

EventWell is proud to launch OpenDoor™, a national initiative designed to help 25 neurodivergent individuals take their first steps into the UK events industry.

We know that breaking into events can feel overwhelming, especially when traditional recruitment pathways aren’t designed with different thinkers and feelers in mind. That’s why we’re opening doors, literally and figuratively, to create opportunities that are accessible, supported, and shaped by lived experience.

Training & Certification
