Thriving at Work for Champions (Grp A - NEW)
The EventWell® Mental Health Champions programme is designed specifically to support a proactive approach to mental health and wellbeing at work. Thriving at Work for Champions offers essential training on the six mental health core standards, and provides a framework for a set of actions to effectively support the mental health and wellbeing of your team, and place mental health and wellbeing at the heart of organisational culture by creating a movement to drive policy, procedure and strategy.
The course is made up of up to 7 modules delivered over 7-8 months.
Module 1 – Prioritising Mental Health in the Workplace
This module looks at mental health core standard one and covers developing a mental health at work plan, senior ownership and board level accountability, routinely monitoring employee mental wellbeing, and feedback from employees to drive improvement
Module 2 – Ensuring Work Design and Organisational Culture drive positive Mental Health outcomes
This module looks at mental health core standard two and covers good physical workplace conditions, employee feedback, attention to job design, organisations structure, working patterns and expectations, work-life balance and flexibility, and openness during recruitment and throughout employment
Module 3 – Promoting an Open Culture around Mental Health
This module looks at mental health core standard three and covers increased awareness and challenging stigma, empowering employees as champions and role models, and opening two way conversations
Module 4 – Increasing Organisational Confidence and Capability
This module looks at mental health core standard four and covers mental health literacy and opportunities to learn, preparing staff for effective mental health conversations and signposting, training line managers in all aspects of workplace menal health, and building employee mental health into management roles
Module 5 – Providing Mental Health Tools and Support
This module looks at mental health core standard five and covers making staff aware of the resources and tools available, tailoring in-house support, signposting to further options, and targeting help for particular issues
Module 6 – Increasing Transparency and Accountability
This module looks at mental health core standard six and covers internal and external reporting on key measures, and activity and impact measurements using standardised frameworks
Module 7 – Mental Wellbeing of Customers, Delegates, Visitors and Stakeholders
This module looks at a seventh mental health core standard (exclusive to EventWell®) and covers customer service and the link to stress and anxiety, delivering quality over numbers to boost mental wellbeing, the impact of modern event design on mental health and neurodiversity, an understanding of triggers, overwhelm, and overload, and the importance of nutrition, downtime, accessibility and inclusion
