Help us create spaces that make events better for people.
Behind every EventWell SensoryCalm™ space is a team of people who make it happen.
Our Build & Break Crew help us transform empty rooms, exhibition stands and outdoor event spaces into welcoming, comfortable and thoughtfully designed environments – and then pack everything safely away again when the event is over.
We’re growing our Build & Break Crew across London and the UK and would love to hear from people with practical event experience who enjoy getting stuck in and seeing a space come together.
What does Build & Break involve?
Conferences, exhibitions and corporate events
Our builds are usually relatively straightforward but can be physical. You might be setting out furniture, unpacking sensory resources, positioning equipment, dressing the space and making sure everything is ready before our EventWell Hosts arrive.
We provide plans and guidance, but a good eye for detail is important. It’s the little things that turn a collection of furniture and equipment into an EventWell space.
At the end of the event, you’ll help break the space down, pack equipment correctly and prepare everything for collection or onward transport.
Our indoor Build & Break Crew can be involved in:
- Building and striking gazebos and temporary structures
- Setting up furniture and sensory equipment
- Dressing our SensoryCalm™ spaces
- Packing equipment safely after events
- Helping prepare equipment for transport and collection
Outdoor events & festivals
Our spring and summer programme gets a little more physical!
Our outdoor Build & Break Crew can be involved in:
- Building and striking gazebos and outdoor structures
- Pitching and striking our 8m and 6m Bell tents
- Building our larger 8m × 4m outdoor gazebo
- Setting up furniture and sensory equipment
- Dressing our SensoryCalm™ outdoor spaces
- Packing equipment safely after events
- Helping prepare equipment for transport and collection
Some outdoor builds are full-day crew calls, while smaller conference and exhibition builds may only require a few hours.
Who are we looking for?
You might have experience in event crewing, exhibitions, festivals, event production, venue operations, room setup, hospitality, staging or other hands-on event roles.
We’re particularly interested in people who are:
Reliable and punctual – event builds run to deadlines, so we need to know you’ll be there when expected.
Practical and hands-on – you’re happy moving furniture, unpacking equipment and getting stuck into a build.
Good at following instructions – you’ll work from our event information, plans and guidance.
Detail-focused – you notice when something isn’t quite right and take pride in leaving a space looking properly finished.
Comfortable working as part of a crew – particularly on our larger festival and outdoor builds.
Happy with physical work – some roles involve lifting, carrying, pitching tents and building larger structures.
You’re a diplomatic snagger – happy snagging and making sure we have what we need in place
You don’t need decades of event experience. If you’ve worked on event setups, festival crews, venue changeovers, exhibition builds or similar and think you’d be a good fit, we’d still love to hear from you.
